Malvani Cuisine is well-known for its non-vegetarian food, particularly its seafood dishes, but you’ll be surprised to know that vegetarian food is equally diverse, intense, and interesting.
These are The Best Five Malvani Vegetarian Curries are what I would like to recommend; they will brighten your day. As a Malvani person, we include these curries in our monthly menu. Even non-vegetarians should need to try these curries.
- Malvani Dal (Split Pigeon Peas)
- Malvani Chawli (Black Eyed Beans) Curry
- Malvani Vatana (White Peas) Curry
- Malvani Gulyachi Curry
- Malvani Kulith (Horse Gram) Curry
Malvani Dal pairs excellently with steamed rice and some vegetable fries.
Malvani Chawli, Vatana & Kulith Curry are prepared with Malvani Bhajka Masala.
Malvani Gulyachi Curry is cooked with Malvani Fish Curry Masala. Finely chopped onion, ginger, and coriander are combined with besan (chickpea flour) to form the little balls known as Gulya.
These recipes are all ideal served with rice flour Bhakri and steamed rice. You can certainly try it with chapati, but I would suggest sticking to rice Bhakri. I would even recommend that avid non-vegetarians give these vegetarian curries a try.
